PGA Tour 2013 to start with the Player’s Championship in Hawaii

The PGA (the Professional Golfers’ Association of America) Tour’s 2013 season will start with the Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Hawaii in January2013.  The 2013 Tour will change the qualifying process and the schedule has been changed to hold all events within the calendar year.

PGA Tour is the organizer of main men’s tours in the U.S. and North America.  Headquartered in Ponte Verde Beach, Florida, it organizes the PGA Tour, Champion’s Tour (for those who are 50 years and over), and the Web.com Tour (professional players who are not yet qualified to play in PGA Tour).  It runs 43 week-to-week professional golf events.  However, PGA Tour does not organize the four major golf events; the Masters Tournament, the US Open, the Open Championship and the PGA Championship or the Ryder Cup.  It also not involved with any U.S. ladies events.  The PGA Tour heavily concentrate on charity fundraising.  It closely works with television and for 2013, six events will be covered fully and another 29 tournaments will provide early coverage.

Traditionally golf’s big names and 2012 money leaders such as Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy takes time to relax and start the tour with Middle East tournament.
