What is a Reel Mower?
December 17, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment
A reel mower is a cylinder shaped lawn mower. Some people refer to them by other names such as, push reel mowers, manual mowers and people powered mowers. These lawn mowers are different than the other mowers because their blades work by the wheels moving unlike the traditional lawn mower that requires you to pull a string and use gas in order for it to work. Basically, you probably have seen or heard of this type of mower before but you just did not know what it was. This is okay because people are like this about a lot of things.
One of the other things that many people are not familiar with is a turf truckster. This is something that is used in golf so it is perfectly understandable why a ton of people would not be familiar with the term. However, the ones who need these things such as mowers and truckster are usually faced with the problem of trying to find them for a reasonable price.
One of the best places for people to find both of the previously mentioned items is the used car club. Many people think that this is just a good place to find good cars which is correct. However, sometimes when people interact with the other sellers or seekers they are able to find some good recommendations for them and on special occasions they may even have the items that you are looking for as well. This is not definite but something to consider.
Greens Keeping And It’s Equipment Can Be Expensive
October 23, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment
Greens keeping is a crucial matter when it comes to running a golf course. It is a mandatory task that has to be done all the time or else your course will look like a chopped up plot of land with flagsticks and sand holes. Greens keeping equipment can be very expensive though. It is important that you know the right things to buy and if you are spending a feasible amount of money on them instead of going all out on the top of the line, brand new equipment.
The best idea would be to purchase used club car golf carts as they are the best known name in the business and the most reliable. You can look for a good deal on used club car models online; make sure to do your research before purchasing though.
One of the most expensive pieces of greens keeping equipment would be the reel mower. Don’t be afraid to spend a good amount of your budget on this one. Be sure that it is a reel mower and not a rotary one. The reel mower must have a high clip rate to make for an even cut and smooth green. It also needs to be able to be lowered down to at least 1/8 of an inch. You can either go cost efficient and eco-friendly with this one by getting a manual driven reel mower or you can choose to go with the gas or electric ones.
Greens keeping equipment can be very expensive, but if you take your time and find the right products at a reasonable price you can save a lot of money and still keep your course looking flawless.
The Importance of Track Uniforms
October 16, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment
Uniforms might not seem like a big deal to a sports team but if you think that then you probably haven’t played a lot of sports .Team chemistry and cohesiveness is very important to any level of competition and matching uniforms is one of the easiest ways to make people understand who is on their team and what that really means. When you get out onto the field and your team is all dressed the same way there is a bond between the teammates that is somewhat indescribable. Whether it’s a team that has matching baseball pants and jerseys or a women’s team that has matching softball uniforms there is something special about that.
There are other reasons to have uniforms than team unity – being able to quickly decide who is on your team and who isn’t without having to stare them in the face and wait for recognition is a big deal. Playing pickup sports can be a little bit tricky sometimes because everyone shows up with different colors and before you make a pass you have to identify who is on your team. Not only can it lead to turnovers and plays strewn with mistakes, it also makes you a bit more vulnerable to people yelling for the ball that aren’t on your team. This can be extremely embarrassing and different colored jerseys can help.
Whether you are looking for football, soccer, or track uniforms – getting them is certainly the right thing to do.
Preventing golf injuries
September 20, 2011 by creative · Leave a Comment
Not many people would associate injuries with a low impact game like golf, but there are over 50,000 patients visiting the Emergency Room each year due to injuries to the elbow, ankle, wrist, spine and knees sustained while playing golf. What steps can you take to prevent these injuries?
Golfer’s elbow
This is the leading golfing injury. It is caused by the inflammation of the tendons that attach the forearm muscles to the bone and is caused by over use of the muscles and tendons by repeating the same stroke over and over. To prevent this injury do exercises to strengthen forearm muscles and slow the swing to lessen the shock to the arm when hitting the ball.
Carpal tunnel syndrome
This is caused by the damage to the nerves in the hands due to the repetitive motion of the golf swing and causes pain and could require surgery.
Lower back pain
The stress placed on the back muscles and the spine by the rotation of the golf swing can cause considerable back pain to golfers. Do exercises like rowing and pull downs to build strength and to improve flexibility of the back muscles.
Shoulder injuries
Slow the back swing to lessen stress on the shoulders.
Artificial Grass Companies Showcase Products and Service at the Big 5 Show
December 28, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment
Synthetic turf is extremely popular in the United States — and its popularity is spreading to other parts of the world. This was in evidence at the recent Big 5 trade show in Dubai. Along with the usual collection of the largest construction and manufacturing names in the world, the show featured many leading artificial grass providers showcasing their cutting-edge technologies to some of the biggest residential and commercial construction firms in the Middle East.
With access to water being at a premium in many arid Middle Eastern countries, construction firms turn to artificial turf solutions for a variety of home and business projects. But synthetic grass is used for more than an artificial grass lawn in the Middle East. Many countries are making heavy investments in sports stadiums, and synthetic grass is a key part of this strategy. Qatar’s successful bid for the 2022 World Cup is a prime example — the majority of games will be played on fields with artificial turf.
